There are so many factors that go into running and managing a successful website or business. You have desgin, coding, product quality, professionalism, traffic stats, and all the other little pieces. You can argue which factor is the most important, but this is what I belive and most would agree. The most important part of running a successful website or business is this: getting the word out. Nobody can buy your product, sign-up for your forum, or even visit your company's website unless they know about it. That was where marketing comes into play; you need to get the right people to visit your website. The people interested in your niche. You need to hunt them down very carefully and make them want to visit your website. Put briefly, that is all there is to it. If you keep letting people know your business exists, they will eventually check it out. After that the other factors decide whether they stay or make a purchase.

I've been interested in websites ever since I learned what a computer was. I have never had a creative or artistic mind when it came to the front-end of a website, but the back end and advertising has always been my strong-suit.
